I’m Linda H. Kuiters — an experimental printmaker and etcher, with occasional ventures into photography and photopolymer etching.

Trained as a theatre designer I worked in Italy as a costume designer before starting a career as a shipbuilder. My creative approach has long been rather monumental.

But now working with silt my eye has turned towards the gritty detail of raw materials, zooming in rather than constructing outlines.

Living close to the shifting landscape of the Wadden Sea, Eems and Dollard — I am captured by the slow, patient process of formation. Its colors, textures, and quiet transformations is a constant source of inspiration for my work.
